iter8 a double-award winner

iter8 customer York Fire and Casualty wins prestigious "Best in Class" award from Insurance-Canada for the implementation of real-time policy change in their York Connection portal using iter8 technology, while iter8 wins Honorable Mention in Technology Suppliers category

March 2010:  iter8 Inc., an insurance solutions software developer, is pleased to announce that iter8 and its technology, through the products collabor8 and communic8, has been recognized in the Insurance Canada Technology Awards (ICTAs) at the organization's annual Insurance Technology Conference, held February 22nd.

The awards recognize insurers, service providers, and technology firms that demonstrate leadership in the development and implementation of automation in insurance.  According to principal Doug Grant, the awards were developed to celebrate organizations that successfully realize the benefits of technology in improving service, reducing costs, and increasing productivity.

York Fire and Casualty received a "Best in Class" ICTA for their implementation of real-time policy change processing through their agent/broker portal the York Connection. Development of the portal and agency/broker connectivity was completed by iter8 and York. The connected portal enables independent agents/brokers to transact all business in a manner they prefer. For labor-intensive policy change transactions, agents/brokers can make the necessary changes within their Agency/Broker Management System, and connect seamlessly, in real-time, through the York Connection to make changes within the York Policy Administration System or they can simply access the York Connection on-line and make policy changes in real-time.

York Fire and Casualty has consistently been a leader in deploying technology to enable their independent agents/brokers to interact quickly and completely. They are recognized as innovators and leaders, having received several awards in the past few years.

iter8 is also the recipient of an "Honorable Mention" ICTA in the Suppliers: Technology Providers category, based upon numerous other successful projects.

Not content to stop where they are York is planning "next steps" to continue to improve the York Connection portal.

iter8 technology has been used by York for over five years, with York extending their use of technology each and every year in order to maintain competitive advantage. Glen Piller, President of iter8 said, "We have been extremely fortunate to work with such an innovative, progressive firm. For without the commitment of their senior management we would not have been able to successfully deploy iter8 technology to produce an award winning modern, connected portal."
