iter8 is seeking a Senior Technical Consultant to become a member of the Solutions team. This team is responsible for the requirements definition, design, customization, configuration and delivery of high quality industry solutions based on iter8's SOA platform. This candidate will be responsible for the technical aspects of the client implementation projects specifically.

Responsibilities range from customization and configuration of existing solutions to developing new functionality or new solutions for the company as they relate to our market space.

You will enhance, configure and deploy solutions from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on your technical & domain experience and contact with the client and prospect base. This position reports to the VP of Operations.

We are looking for someone who has the creativity, the passion and technical consultancy experience. This person will be on the front line so it is essential and imperative that the qualified candidate be able to express themselves clearly and concisely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • § Participate as technical consultant in client facing projects.
  • § Collect and define technical requirements and write technical requirements and design documents.
  • § Advise clients on technical, architecture and infrastructure issues as they relate to the companies solutions and products
  • § Provide domain expertise on technical & platform issues as needed, internally and externally.
  • § Provide technical support to sales and sales support during the sales cycle.
  • § Assist quality assurance to validate the quality of the implementation
  • § Assist technical support on resolution of customer issues as needed.
  • § Travel and temporary placements in Montreal and Quebec City will be required

 

Qualifications:

  • § Fluency in French and English is essential
  • § 8+ years of in-depth client facing technical consultancy.
  • § Development skills with emphasis on deployment, customization and configuration essential.
  • § Experience in XML, XSLT and web deployments is an asset.
  • § Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • § Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • § Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • § Ability to prioritize and manage to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
  • § Must be organized, have an eye for detail, and be able to put ideas into a tangible form.
  • § Requires a B.A., B.S. in CS/CIS/IS or related field equivalent.
